this blogging thing all of the sudden seemed absurd to me - not that it hasn't before. it seems more solid this time. i also did take a very long hiatus from it. so long that it's a new year and I also completely forgot my password.

does it matter in the end the recording of the minutae of our lives, a kind of record of what catches our eye or thought, makes us pause to take note and put it down in blog form...i would also post a random picture to make ultra meaningful and to be able to cross reference between text and image, but, whatever. it's ephemera, anyway.

Since superfluous-ity and circumlocution seem to trump all at times, I thought I'd give it a shot.
